British people will know the add where the girl says “Oh Ambassador, with these Ferrero Roche you are spoiling us!” Well brace yourself. I’ve just finished another free tutorial and, yes, I am spoiling you. This is for a Swag Bag. A bag that is as roomy as it is simple to make. You could easily use it as an overnighter or even a weekender. Alternatively, it would be very useful if you had a lot to carry (or buy) or wanted a beach-type bag.
It’s tall, it’s pretty and it has a zipper closure. I’ve added decorative fabric corners and I used a bought shoulder strap. However you could make a strap from the same or toning fabric if you preferred. The method of construction is really similar to those zipped pouches that most bag people make, just bigger. To get your hands on this tute just go here, or go to the tabs at the top of this page, put your mouse over the *blog* one and you’ll see a drop down menu. Click on the Free Tutorials tab. There are other free tutorials on that page too. All my tutes have full instructions and pictures so you should be able to follow them easily.
In my last post I wrote about the Craft Market I am doing on the 6th October at The Friars in Aylesford. ME20 7BX. It really looks like being a great day and it’s in the barn so I don’t have to worry about the weather. I’ve made quite a bit of stock so I hope it sells. I’ve made a number of Big Fat Gorgeous Handbags so let’s hope they are to everyone’s taste.
